UCC - Rockwell

Woke up late so sis and I had Sunday brunch at UCC Rockwell. When you order their breakfast before 11am, you'd get a free cup of coffee or hot cocoa or orange juice I think. But for this, we arrived at 11:15 already so we ordered different drink. These are the items that we always order for breakfast menu....

Corned beef hash - you have a choice of slices of bread or rice. Here my sis chose garlic rice. Corned beef is crispy, just the way we like it.

Her drink is Yin Yang Cha - combination of tea and coffee and milk, in short coffee milk tea!

Mine is English Bangers - 3 pcs of peppery pork sausages which I loved the taste! With garlic rice and scrambled egg.

Coffee Jelly - not like Starbucks' Coffee jelly, this has only few SOFT jellies. I prefer Starbucks coz it is chewy...

Sumo Sam - Powerplant

Went to Sumo Sam to have snack with my sis. We ordered Victory Boat sushi coz I've been craving for it and a fried gyoza.
We don't like the bottom part coz without the cheese, it tasted so bland! At the right, the make tasted fishy. We should have just ordered individual maki's of our choice instead rather than buying this assorted sushi/maki....

This is better than in Trinoma branch that was oily.

Peking Garden - Trinoma

While waiting for our orders, we were given fried dimsum wrapper to munch on to.. Staffs were very accommodating...

We ordered Peking duck 2-ways

Delicious! but somehow the skin was not that very crispy.

2nd way was a soup because we had our baby niece with us.
It was cooked with tofu, it was OK.

And ordered a chef's recommendation. Shrimp cooked in crab roe sauce with asparagus. Obviously chinese restaurants use lye to make shrimp 'crunchy' and 'fresh'. Nevertheless, this dish is still good.

Buffalo's Wings N' Things - Ortigas

Found this place when my sis and i bought dog food from Pooch Park. We entered the 'FOOD STREET'area and saw the sign about buffalo wings.

Of course we ordered buffalo wings. you get to choose the level of hotness of the sauce.. I chose the New York's Finest.

This sauce was just the right spiciness for me. I doubt if I can take more spicy then this.
Their jug of iced tea. Not the usual iced tea. It's more of the fruity, citrus one.

Sliders with fries. I didn't like their sliders. The bun was not good.

Cucina Victoria - Powerplant

Callos - one of their specialties.. This has more meat compared to Conti's that you think your eating left over something.. Anyway.. it is a bit salty and oily for me.. but it's still good!

Our favorite! Similar to Cibo's Linguine alla Nettuno but not that very al dente. Worth to have this if you like to have more seafood in your pasta. Cibo's is like a teaspoon of minced seafood in it...

Zong - Eton Centris

Crispy Noodle with Seafood

Braised Beef Tapa - it's just usual braised beef with Tapa style (dried)
Stir fried string beans with minced pork
Singapore Style Prawn - prawn is a little bit overcooked
Yang Chow Fried Rice - tasty!

Fook Yuen - Banawe

I heard that they had one of the best sotanghon crab here, so I introduced it to my family... This family resto looks old already and the place is usually for take outs.. But then we dined in..

Of course we ordered Fook Yuen's Sotanghon crab. I think they used coco milk with chunks of leeks and ginger. The sotanghon is a bit clump together.. maybe it's either over cook or sotanghon is not in good quality. Taste wise, YUMMY! if compared to King Crab's Crab Sotanghon, this has more sotanghon! The sauce of King Crab's is soy based.

seasonal vegetables in oyster sauce. Tofu was not that good already. Typical chinese vegetable dish.

Fook Yuen Fried Rice- Flavorful but looks dull.

Fish Fillet in White sauce ( not sure with the sauce.. i forgot) What I just remembered was that the fish fillet have lots of bones (tinik) as in long and thick ones!

Sizzling Beef. sweet and tangy.
